Q. When I reference an author within the body of my text, do I then repeat the author’s name in the footnote?
A. If it’s an actual footnote (at the bottom of the page), it’s not necessary to repeat the author’s name, but if the notes are gathered at the end of the chapter or the back of the book, it’s helpful to the reader to do so.
