I need to select a dictionary as the go to source for definitions for a project I'm working on. CMOS recommends Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary -- anyone have an opinion? Thanks.

[Forum] RE: due to

[Forum] RE: fathers
I subscribe online. That gives you access to the M-W Collegiate, Unabridged, Collegiate Thesaurus, Concise Encyclopedia, Medical Dictionary, Spanish-English Dictionary, and French-English Dictionary, so it's a good deal (even if you just use one or two of these).

[Forum] RE: mass nouns
[quote='DianeWalters' pid='19852' dateline='1408480465'] Macmillion Dictionary tells that as well. They say it is singular and uncountable. http://www.macmillandictionary.com/dictionary/british/convergence [/quote] That's another British dictionary, I think.

[Forum] RE: Hyphens — Again!
Grumps, this is a question for the dictionary, not CMOS. If these words aren't hyphenated in the dictionary, they shouldn't be hyphenated unless they precede the noun they modify. If they're hyphenated in the dictionary, they should be hyphenated regardless.
