I don't ever add spaces before or after a slash. However, if the designer adds a hairline space because it would make for easier reading with a particular font, I don't argue. |

I'd stick with ellipses if this was originally one sentence. Note that ellipses are properly rendered as periods with spaces before and after them, like this . . . but not like this...kinda makes me crazy. |

I have been told that certain types of punctuation, for example, using two spaces instead of one between sentences, date the writer. Are there other obvious changes I should be aware of before submitting something important to an editor? I have stuck to the rules I learned twenty years ago. |

You're right. They are called underscores. It is very important to retain them in the URL; otherwise, if the reader was interested in going to those websites, he/she would not be able to do so.
