Chicago says to lowercase "eBay" and like terms ("iPad") when they start a sentence. As part of an e-mail address, "gmail" is lowercase, and probably as a word in a sentence. But what about when it begins a sentence? Upper or lower? TY

Would you capitalize the first letter of fMRI if it falls at the beginning of a sentence? 8.153 indicates it is OK to do with brand names such as iPhone and eBay, but does not mention acronyms.
